Why Hire NEPS to Print Your Event Tickets

When it comes to printing event tickets, your options are always extremely limited. There are a lot of services that allow you to sell tickets online and your customers will print the ticket and bring them to your event. This solution is extremely inconvenient, as it requires that your potential customers have a computer, printer and credit card. Even if your customers are able to print the tickets, they’re often printed plainly on large pieces of paper. NEPS offers customizable ticket designs and ticket printing services. With online ticketing services, you’re not always able to get a set of hard tickets that you’re able to sell before your event without getting access to a computer. Having the ability to sell tickets beforehand can not only help your overall sales but can also help add a professional touch to your event. If you’re throwing an event, you want your tickets to cohesively match the event theme and style. With your own custom tickets, you’re able to control exactly how the tickets will look, and conform them to your events branding.   Custom ticket designs from NEPS gives you the freedom to only include exactly the information that you need to share. This helps your overall design and reduces the amount of irrelevant information on a ticket. With you own custom tickets, you also won’t have to worry about having third party sponsors appearing on the reverse-side of your tickets – a practice that is all too common when purchasing stock tickets.   Our NEPS team is able to customize your tickets based on your event necessities. Our tickets can be designed to also serve as raffle tickets and tear-offs.   If you’d like to learn more about ticket printing and our new services and products visit us online at http://www.neps.ca. Business Cards Remain a Vital Marketing Tool

In today’s digital age, you may be wondering whether business cards still matter and hold any type of marketing purpose. The answer is yes, they are still important because we still have face-to-face meetings with people. Sure, we have come a long way but at the same time human interaction still exists and you cannot discount it when putting together your marketing plans. Person-to-person interaction allows you to make genuine connections with others while connecting digitally is somewhat impersonal. Many long-term business relationships start with eye-to-eye contact and the exchange of business cards. While many people do take these business cards and transfer the information to their mobile device or their computer at home, your personal data including your phone number and email address will be stored due to the initial presence of the card. Without the exchange of these cards, your meeting would simply become a faint memory. You’ll never know when you’re going to meet an important contact or lead. You may be at an industry conference, an airport lounge, a tradeshow etc. You’ll want to be armed with business cards so that you can keep track of any valuable connections you make with other people. A business card also creates a lasting first impression and also acts as a branding tool. Using Texture to Make Memorable Print Marketing

It’s imperative to make your marketing materials stand out. Your marketing materials should strive to be different so that you can get an edge over the competition. Many printed materials such as brochures, business cards and postcards don’t have anything unique that separate them from the competition. Incorporating textures into your designs is a great way give your marketing materials a visual and tangible edge that won’t be forgotten. Incorporating textures into your materials can dramatically increase engagement. Customers are drawn to things that they can interact with, and having a textured finish encourages people to touch and take the print material. Below is the NEPS design team’s favourite ways to incorporate a texture into your design. Foil Stamping Foil stamping is a process in which a metallic foil is transferred onto print material using a heated die. This is sometimes referred to as “dry painting” as there is no ink used. There are over 5 different types of foil that can be added to your materials. Not only do foils create a smooth texture, but the contrast between the paper and the foil stamped area will certainly wow anyone. Embossing Embossing refers to a process in which an impression is made into the paper. The imprint on the paper creates a texture based on the design that was chosen. This can be used with the foil to create an embossed foil stamp, or creatively in other ways, such as an embossed texture. Having the right print materials can ultimately benefit your business, and your bottom line. Visit NEPS online and use our self-checkout system, or call us at 1-844-994-0442. How to Create a Perfectly Designed Printed Menu

Posted by on Nov 18, 2016 in General Blog Posts | 0 comments

How to Create a Perfectly Designed Printed Menu

There are a lot of factors that determine what type of printed menu would be perfect for your establishment or for an upcoming event. Menus are available in all sizes, finishes, shapes, and you’ll want yours to stand out and be a perfect reflection of what your business or event represents. Here are some of the most important things to consider when you are creating a perfectly designed printed menu. Will It Be Folded or Flat? Do you want to have a menu that shows all of the choices on a flat menu or would you prefer it to be folded? If you’re running an establishment that offers a variety of food or drink choices you’ll probably need to work with the folded options. If you’re running a smaller place that can fit all of the options on one page or are planning an event with only a couple of food choices, the flat menu may work well for you. Choose the Size We have a variety of different sizes available in both landscape and portrait format. One thing you’ll want to keep in mind is the size of the table in the establishment. If you order a menu that is too big it will be awkward to manage when a lot of people are sitting around the table. On the other hand, you won’t want your menu to be too small making it hard for people to read the writing on it. Takeout menus should be small enough that they can be easily folded into a pocket. Laminated Menus You’ll have a choice between high-gloss or matt lamination and there are pros and cons to both types. Matt lamination provides a softer look while glossy menus are shiny and really brighten up the colours on it. Glossy menus may not be recommended for highly lit areas where the light could reflect off them making them difficult to read. Design Services Make sure that your printed menu gets all of the attention it deserves by using a custom design. Here at New Era Print Solutions we have a team of graphic designers that know how to create the perfect piece of artwork that would best represent your company. This is so important because the menu will be the main point of contact for your customers in terms of the food and drink selection. The overall design of the menu will have a bearing over the perception your customers have about your business or your event. When you need to create the perfect menu for your establishment, contact us at 1-844-994-0442 or visit our website. Our goal is to exceed your expectations and bring your business or event up to the next level through perfectly designed...

Why Your Next Promotion Needs a Flyer

Why Your Next Promotion Needs a Flyer

Flyers are great for marketing because they can be given out to so many people in so many different places. They can be handed out at events, trade shows, and showcase your branding and content in a clear concise way. They Get Everyone’s Attention Flyers are good because they are easy to read and eye-catching. You can reach a wide audience by dispersing flyers. Flyers can be handed out through many venues. Instead of handing out business cards, your flyer can contain more valuable information about your product or services. Connect With Your Target Audience Better The great thing about a flyer is that you can feel it in your hands and it’s a tangible way of communicating with your potential customers. Lots of advertisements these days have gone digital, so an interesting paper and texture can connect with your audience in a way that digital can’t. At NEPS, we offer a large variety of papers and textures to choose from for your next flyer. Imagery A great flyer is only as good as it’s designer. Pick a design style that you like, then try and follow the same layout. This will keep your flyer organized and appealing. Make sure to pick colours for your fonts and backgrounds that are in a family colour scheme so that your message doesn’t clash with your imagery. This will keep your flyer from being inconsistent. To design your next flyer, give NEPS, your printing services company in Mississauga, Oakville & Milton a call at 1-844-994-0442. Our experienced designers can handle all of the design to the printing to give you the best-finished project you’ll ever set your eyes...

How to Create Eye Catching Business Cards

How to Create Eye Catching Business Cards

Companies like LinkedIn and Facebook are great places to find out about the newest job opportunities, but nothing beats good, old-fashioned networking. When networking, your best friend is your business card. To create a business card that helps your new acquaintances remember you, remember these important design elements: Thickness The type of cardstock you choose impacts the aesthetic and design of your card. You can choose a thinner, more minimal card stock or a thick, heavier card stock, depending on your card design. A heavier stock is important to use if you plan to have writing on the back and front of your card because the paper needs to be able to withstand the ink printing process on either side. Finish Choosing the right finish is important depending on the industry you work in. If you work in a creative field, choosing something with lots of shine bright colours works great because it acts as an example of your portfolio. We recommend a UV coated high gloss finish if you work as a graphic or web designer. If you work in a standard business environment like sales or finance a matte stock may work better because they are easier to read. Try sticking to dark , neutral and simple colours like navy or black for more formal designs. Shape The shape of your business card will instantly set you apart from others. Trimming a little bit off of the corners of your cards to create a rounded edge immediately communicates a modern and creative aesthetic. Here at NEPS, we offer die cut round corners as finishing option on all of our business cards. NEPS (New Era Print Solutions), is a printing services company in Mississauga, Oakville and Milton that specializes in printing, graphic design and marketing. If you would like more information on designing business cards in the greater Toronto area, give us a call at 1 844 994...

Print Materials and Brand Awareness

Print Materials and Brand Awareness

Although there has been a large shift over the last few years to digital marketing, print materials are still an extremely important part of marketing. We find that more and more budgets are being allocated to digital marketing, putting a lot more pressure into the promotional materials that you get printed. Since your budget end up being smaller, you’ll want to make sure that the promotional materials you do end up ordering are high quality, eye catching and durable. Our NEPS design and production experts can create the perfect print marketing materials for your brand, but what do you do once your print materials have been created? What’s the best way to distribute them? Here are some great ways to distribute print marketing materials and increase brand awareness. Door Hangers This is a great way to introduce a new service or raise brand awareness in a large specific area. These can easily be distributed through employees or working with Canada Post. Additionally, brands could put a practical use on the reverse side of the door hanger to encourage people to use them; it will help reduce waste and promote your brand at the same time! Inserts Creating a small insert to be distributed in your local newspaper is a great way to target your local area. It’s best to research the total cost of services likes this before printing thousands of inserts only to be short on the distribution budget. Your inserts can be as unique as you’d like, and can come in all shapes and sizes depending on your current promotion; from a postcard to a full page flyer. In-Store A lot of brands seem to stop marketing to their own customers, assuming that if someone is making a purchase in their store they’re already aware of your brand. Although this logically makes sense, brands are more likely to receive repeat customers than to receive a new customer. Take the opportunity to promote your brand in-store as well. Place flyers with current promotions in bags when customers are making a purchase, and have these flyers readily available near the door so that customers can see these great deals when walking into your store. There are plenty of great ways to market your brand, and these are just some examples of how print materials can help raise brand awareness. Our NEPS team can design and print amazing marketing materials; we’re a one-stop shop when it comes to print materials, conveniently located in Mississauga. Give us a call at 1-844-994-0442 or contact us online to get started on your next print...

Tips For Choosing A Readable Type

Posted by on Jun 3, 2016 in Tips | 0 comments

Tips For Choosing A Readable Type

Choosing the right type for your project is a lot harder than it actually sounds, and can delay the readiness of the final product by a considerable amount of time. The right type can make a newsletter or other promotional material incredibly attractive, or can actually deter the audience from reading. In addition to being attractive, in keeping with the brand’s theme, and in a size that allows all the content to fit within the predefined parameters, it also needs to be readable. This can be a tricky balancing act, with many designers not quite sure how to manage and incorporate all those necessities. There are a number of factors that need to be kept in mind when choosing the typeface and layout for the text used in your promotional materials or in your next design project. X-Height The x-height specifically refers to the size of a lowercase “x” in any given font, and is one key factor in determining the overall look of the typeface you’ve selected. Simply put, the larger the x-height the denser the type will appear. Fonts with a huge x-height are very difficult to read, and fonts with a low x-height often unattractive. The trick is finding an x-height that is easily legible and aesthetically pleasing. Tracking Tracking is the spacing between characters. Normal tracking is ideal, because it is how the human eye is accustomed to reading typefaces. It is how the eye expects to view the words as they are set out on the page. Any variation from normal, narrow or expanded for example, make it harder for the reader to consume and understand the material, and can serve as a deterrent from further reading. Serif or Sans Serif The choice between serif or sans serif can also make or break your project’s overall readability. Serif fonts are traditionally easier to read when it comes to large bodies of text. This is likely because a serif font naturally draws the eye from one character to another in any given text, where as sans serif can slow the reader down. Keep in mind, serif fonts that are overly pronounced will also be hard on the eye, so it’s essential to choose your serif typeface wisely. When it comes to shorter lines of text, such as for a footnote or fine print, sans serif fonts may be the way to go, as they are more easily readable in smaller font sizes. Point or Font Size The point size (font size) should generally be between 9 and 12 points, but this can change depending on the typeface used, or the goal of the text. Test out your point sizes before committing to one, just to be sure that you are using point size to maximize readability. Line Length Experts advise a line length of approximately 39 characters to ensure the text is easily read. Another formula, involving multiplying your pint size by two to get a pica, and then converting the picas into inches is also recommended, depending on the type of font you end up choosing. Leading Leading refers to the spaces between each line of text and will have a huge impact on overall readability. Using a leading that is about 2 or 3 points larger than your typeface will ensure smooth readability,...
