Creating a brand strategy can be a difficult process for many entrepreneurs and small businesses if they can’t outsource a marketing team. It can even be a daunting task for the largest of companies. Whatever the case may be, here at New Era Print Solutions we can help your business communicate your brand effectively through innovative print campaigns. These 5 tips and tricks will help you make better branding decisions and come up with a slogan your customers won’t forget. Values Company values are extremely important. What makes Tim Horton’s brand different from Starbucks defines how they do everything- from logistics to sales. Tim Horton’s focuses on families and community. Starbucks focuses on the environment and health conscious choices. Review your business or sales strategy to discover your values and [let them soar]. Personality What makes a company shine is the way they communicate with their target audience. Is your tone fun? Is it formal? Define the way you interact with your customers to distance yourself from your competitors. You can use business cards, flyers and invoices to reflect your personality. Target Customer Clearly define your demographic. This could be based upon age, location, education, hobbies or even culture. Customer’s Goals Customers come to your business looking to fulfill specific needs or wants. Draw a blueprint of how your product will meet their needs; design your service to fulfill their goals. Why Your Next Promotion Needs a Flyer

Why Your Next Promotion Needs a Flyer

Posted by on Sep 19, 2016 in Corporate, Tips | 0 comments

Flyers are great for marketing because they can be given out to so many people in so many different places. They can be handed out at events, trade shows, and showcase your branding and content in a clear concise way. They Get Everyone’s Attention Flyers are good because they are easy to read and eye-catching. You can reach a wide audience by dispersing flyers. Flyers can be handed out through many venues. Instead of handing out business cards, your flyer can contain more valuable information about your product or services. Connect With Your Target Audience Better The great thing about a flyer is that you can feel it in your hands and it’s a tangible way of communicating with your potential customers. Lots of advertisements these days have gone digital, so an interesting paper and texture can connect with your audience in a way that digital can’t. At NEPS, we offer a large variety of papers and textures to choose from for your next flyer. Imagery A great flyer is only as good as it’s designer. Pick a design style that you like, then try and follow the same layout. This will keep your flyer organized and appealing. Make sure to pick colours for your fonts and backgrounds that are in a family colour scheme so that your message doesn’t clash with your imagery. This will keep your flyer from being inconsistent. To design your next flyer, give NEPS, your printing services company in Mississauga, Oakville & Milton a call at 1-844-994-0442. Our experienced designers can handle all of the design to the printing to give you the best-finished project you’ll ever set your eyes...

Print Materials and Brand Awareness

Print Materials and Brand Awareness

Posted by on Jul 10, 2016 in Corporate | 0 comments

Although there has been a large shift over the last few years to digital marketing, print materials are still an extremely important part of marketing. We find that more and more budgets are being allocated to digital marketing, putting a lot more pressure into the promotional materials that you get printed. Since your budget end up being smaller, you’ll want to make sure that the promotional materials you do end up ordering are high quality, eye catching and durable. Our NEPS design and production experts can create the perfect print marketing materials for your brand, but what do you do once your print materials have been created? What’s the best way to distribute them? Here are some great ways to distribute print marketing materials and increase brand awareness. Door Hangers This is a great way to introduce a new service or raise brand awareness in a large specific area. These can easily be distributed through employees or working with Canada Post. Additionally, brands could put a practical use on the reverse side of the door hanger to encourage people to use them; it will help reduce waste and promote your brand at the same time! Inserts Creating a small insert to be distributed in your local newspaper is a great way to target your local area. It’s best to research the total cost of services likes this before printing thousands of inserts only to be short on the distribution budget. Your inserts can be as unique as you’d like, and can come in all shapes and sizes depending on your current promotion; from a postcard to a full page flyer. In-Store A lot of brands seem to stop marketing to their own customers, assuming that if someone is making a purchase in their store they’re already aware of your brand. Although this logically makes sense, brands are more likely to receive repeat customers than to receive a new customer. Take the opportunity to promote your brand in-store as well. Place flyers with current promotions in bags when customers are making a purchase, and have these flyers readily available near the door so that customers can see these great deals when...

Picking the Perfect Paper for your Project

Picking the Perfect Paper for your Project

Posted by on Mar 31, 2016 in Corporate | 0 comments

Believe it or not, paper is one of those simple things that really stumps people when it comes to printing. More often than not, people don’t seem to realize that there are many different types of paper used in printing; the texture, finish and thickness of paper are all very important factors when deciding what kind of paper your project will be printed on. Our “Embossing or Debossing” article lightly mentioned the difference between paper thickness (and how it effects an emboss) so the NEPS team decided we’d go into a little more detail about why the right paper is important.   When it comes to commercial printing there are two basic types of categories for paper: coated and uncoated. Coated paper has some sort of surface finish applied. One of the most popular finishes is Gloss. A glossy paper has a high sheen such as those typically used in magazines. Alternatively, you can choose a dull finish; this paper has a smooth surface but is low on gloss. Lastly, paper is also available in matte. A matte coated paper is non-glossy and extremely flat looking with very very little sheen. Matte papers are usually more opaque and are slightly costlier.   Uncoated paper is exactly as it sounds; the paper has not received any extra coating treatment. Uncoated paper generally has an original grainy paper texture feeling but is also available in other styles and texture type, such as linen and vellum. Another very important feature when deciding what paper you are using is the weight of the paper. Paper weight is generally measured in pounds. The higher the “pounds” the thicker the paper is. Generally this is measured in bulk (500 sheets = 20 pounds). When choosing the paper type it’s important to consider what is going to be printed, the intended use of the products, and if there will be any special finishing options (embossing, foil, etc). The best way to make sure you pick the perfect paper combination for your project is to ask one of our NEPS printing experts. Give us a call today at 1-844-994-0442 or contact us online for all...

The Neps Guide to Showing Customer Appreciation

The Neps Guide to Showing Customer Appreciation

Posted by on Mar 4, 2016 in Business Ideas, Corporate, Gift ideas | 0 comments

Clients are the bread and butter to all businesses; without them we’d have nothing to do! Consistent branding and marketing is the key to attracting new customers. Although new customers are crucial in growing your business, there’s another type of customers that always seems to get neglected; existing customers. Appreciation and marketing to existing customers is often overlooked; and in a world where consumers are getting bombarded by thousands of brands daily, it’s easy for a customer to forget or replace your brand. New Era Printing Solutions has some great marketing tips for your existing clients; appreciation is key in sustaining your business. Send a Card If you collect client information such as birthday and addresses, send them a card wishing them a happy birthday. You could also send a card during the holidays or just occasionally after a recent purchase thanking them for their business. Following up with customers is key. Give Them a Gift It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, but gifting clients with small gifts is extremely beneficial. Include a small branded notepad, sticky notes or magnet with your next order. If a customer feels that they are being appreciated for their loyalty they are more willing to come back and be a repeat customer. Implement a Reward System Reward systems don’t have to be complicated. Create loyalty cards that could reward customers after a certain amount of purchases. An easy way to implement this is to create the reward system on the back of business cards. An example would be to create a system that rewards the customer with a store branded stamp after a purchase. After 10 purchases the customer could receive a discount or get an item/purchase for free. It’s important to encourage your customers to become repeat customers; follow up after purchases, ask for feedback, and most importantly, show customer appreciation. Want to start implementing some of these ideas in your business? Contact us today at New Era Printing Solutions, your one-stop print shop, and we’ll help you get started! Your Guide to Simple Corporate Event Planning

Your Guide to Simple Corporate Event Planning

Posted by on Feb 17, 2016 in Business Cards, Business Ideas, Corporate, General Blog Posts | 0 comments

Brand your event! Consider your theme, tagline and logo when purchasing marketing collateral for your event. For the logo and branding, you can build off your company’s existing template, but add a twist in color or tone. Or, come up with something new and unique! The logo should be something you can print and recognize on an object as small as a magnet and as big as a billboard. Event Tickets: Excellent quality card-stock, perforated tear aways, bold, prismatic colour and bold opaque typography – get your customers excited for your event, even before they step through those doors. Beauty is in the details – let your event tickets do all of the talking for you. Brochures: Brochures are an essential marketing tool, as they are affordable to manufacture, portable, provide important information, and give clients a look at your branding style. Choose a one-flyer pull out, or go for the standard 3 page booklet. Brochures can be used to promote a sale, event, trade show, or even just to solidify a topic you are addressing. Neps Pro-tip: Choose “scoring” options under finishing when printing solid or dark colours to avoid cracking on fold lines. Business Cards: The final parting gift to your attendees – your pristine business card. Don’t let your attendees walk away without a call-to-action. Let them remember who you are, how to contact you, and more importantly, give them a final taste of your branding to take home with you. That’s smart thinking. Finally, once your event has gone off without a hitch (Or realistically, not a ton of hitches), Look for feedback from those who attended and plan for future events. If you’re looking for print media or design services for your event, look no further than your print specialists – neps.ca!
