The Power of Magnetic Business Cards

The Power of Magnetic Business Cards

Posted by on May 16, 2017 in Business Cards | 0 comments

You have seen these magnetic business cards in many different places and you may even have some stuck to your refrigerator right now. These are the business cards that simply won’t go away and that is why they are so powerful. While other paper cards may end up in the garbage, these types of cards usually end up on a fridge or a filing cabinet. They are easy to keep and they are useful at the same time. Many people simply throw out their paper business cards because they don’t have a place to put them. Magnetic cards are one of the most effective and affordable marketing tools you can use for off-line promotions. Your name and the message on the card will be prominently displayed for a very long time. When you give people these cards they are much more likely to see your card on a regular basis since it will be prominently displayed in a conspicuous area. A person that is handed a magnetic card at the office is likely to stick it on his filing cabinet or his metal desk and keep it for quick reference. If the card is handed out at home or in a social setting it will often end up on the fridge to hold up a grocery list. People tend to hang onto magnets because they are useful and this is what makes them such a powerful advertising tool. Many people appreciate the gesture of receiving something so useful. They are branding and marketing tools that you can include in an envelope when you are mailing out an invoice or a receipt so that your customers can easily find your contact number when they need to get a hold of you. If you have already created the artwork for your regular business cards you’re ahead of the game. The same artwork can be used for the new magnetic cards. Just send in your order to New Era Print Solutions and we’ll start printing them up right away. The turnaround time for this type of product is 5 to 7 business days. Business Cards Remain a Vital Marketing Tool

Business Cards Remain a Vital Marketing Tool

Posted by on Jan 19, 2017 in Business Cards | 0 comments

In today’s digital age, you may be wondering whether business cards still matter and hold any type of marketing purpose. The answer is yes, they are still important because we still have face-to-face meetings with people. Sure, we have come a long way but at the same time human interaction still exists and you cannot discount it when putting together your marketing plans. Person-to-person interaction allows you to make genuine connections with others while connecting digitally is somewhat impersonal. Many long-term business relationships start with eye-to-eye contact and the exchange of business cards. While many people do take these business cards and transfer the information to their mobile device or their computer at home, your personal data including your phone number and email address will be stored due to the initial presence of the card. Without the exchange of these cards, your meeting would simply become a faint memory. You’ll never know when you’re going to meet an important contact or lead. You may be at an industry conference, an airport lounge, a tradeshow etc. You’ll want to be armed with business cards so that you can keep track of any valuable connections you make with other people. A business card also creates a lasting first impression and also acts as a branding tool. How to Create Eye Catching Business Cards

How to Create Eye Catching Business Cards

Posted by on Aug 19, 2016 in Business Cards | 0 comments

Companies like LinkedIn and Facebook are great places to find out about the newest job opportunities, but nothing beats good, old-fashioned networking. When networking, your best friend is your business card. To create a business card that helps your new acquaintances remember you, remember these important design elements: Thickness The type of cardstock you choose impacts the aesthetic and design of your card. You can choose a thinner, more minimal card stock or a thick, heavier card stock, depending on your card design. A heavier stock is important to use if you plan to have writing on the back and front of your card because the paper needs to be able to withstand the ink printing process on either side. Finish Choosing the right finish is important depending on the industry you work in. If you work in a creative field, choosing something with lots of shine bright colours works great because it acts as an example of your portfolio. We recommend a UV coated high gloss finish if you work as a graphic or web designer. If you work in a standard business environment like sales or finance a matte stock may work better because they are easier to read. Try sticking to dark , neutral and simple colours like navy or black for more formal designs. Shape The shape of your business card will instantly set you apart from others. Trimming a little bit off of the corners of your cards to create a rounded edge immediately communicates a modern and creative aesthetic. Here at NEPS, we offer die cut round corners as finishing option on all of our business cards. NEPS (New Era Print Solutions), is a printing services company in Mississauga, Oakville and Milton that specializes in printing, graphic design and marketing. Embossing or Debossing

Embossing or Debossing

Posted by on Mar 18, 2016 in Business Cards, Trends | 0 comments

Custom letterheads and textured paper are some great ways to improve your stationary, but taking it one step further will really separate it from the crowd. At New Era Print Solutions we offer many modern finishing services that will bring your stationary to the next level- one of our favourite unique finishes is embossing and debossing. Embossing is a technique where pressure is applied on a specific area of the paper, causing the area to “stick out.” First we print ink onto the paper, then use a special die tool to press the printed area out of the paper. This causes the printed area to stick out, and it is now embossed.  Debossing is a very similar technique but the last step is reversed. Instead of the ink being pushed to stick out, the ink is pushed into the paper, causing it to sink inward . The embossing effect doesn’t have to be limited to inks and printing either. It can also be a great way to add some texture to your material; clients are often finding unique ways to incorporate embossing into their print- patterns, logos, framing, and more. These techniques can be performed on most types of paper but will have a different effect depending on the thickness of the paper. Thin sheets give more detail in the designs, but because the paper is thin, it’s easy for the die to rip the paper during production. Thicker sheets are less likely to break and the detailing effects are more subtle than on thin sheets. If you’re not sure which type of paper would suit your embossing or debossing project, one of our NEPS associates would be happy to show you the different options available. NEPS is your Mississauga area one-stop print shop. With our extensive background in the print industry we are able to provide quality work and fast turnaround for all your printing needs. Your Guide to Simple Corporate Event Planning

Your Guide to Simple Corporate Event Planning

Posted by on Feb 17, 2016 in Business Cards, Business Ideas, Corporate, General Blog Posts | 0 comments

Brand your event! Consider your theme, tagline and logo when purchasing marketing collateral for your event. For the logo and branding, you can build off your company’s existing template, but add a twist in color or tone. Or, come up with something new and unique! The logo should be something you can print and recognize on an object as small as a magnet and as big as a billboard. Event Tickets: Excellent quality card-stock, perforated tear aways, bold, prismatic colour and bold opaque typography – get your customers excited for your event, even before they step through those doors. Beauty is in the details – let your event tickets do all of the talking for you. Brochures: Brochures are an essential marketing tool, as they are affordable to manufacture, portable, provide important information, and give clients a look at your branding style. Choose a one-flyer pull out, or go for the standard 3 page booklet. Brochures can be used to promote a sale, event, trade show, or even just to solidify a topic you are addressing. Neps Pro-tip: Choose “scoring” options under finishing when printing solid or dark colours to avoid cracking on fold lines. Business Cards: The final parting gift to your attendees – your pristine business card. Don’t let your attendees walk away without a call-to-action. Let them remember who you are, how to contact you, and more importantly, give them a final taste of your branding to take home with you. That’s smart thinking. Finally, once your event has gone off without a hitch (Or realistically, not a ton of hitches), Look for feedback from those who attended and plan for future events. If you’re looking for print media or design services for your event, look no further than your print specialists – neps.ca!
